Contact with the Ball
A goal can feel looming. It sits far in the future, a light that flickers faintly.
When an outcome looks distant, easy to get disheartened. You start to grumble to yourself: Why bother?
Author Ryan Holiday shared something that captured this nicely: “Make contact with the ball. Let the rest take care of itself.”
It reinforces a thesis that continues to inspire me: Effort drives progress. Yes, even if it’s infinitesimal. Bunts, not just home runs, can still score points.
So keep swinging… ⚾
