I’m 36 today! Entering the next half of the decade — filled with as much gratitude as the first half.
36 symbolizes humanitarianism, creativity, completion, community, and wisdom. Pretty solid goals to actualize!
My reflections for the year:
Mosaic. First birthday as a married man. Immensely lucky to have Tanvi as my life partner. Building our mosaic together feels special; a privilege of the highest order. Remembering two things: 1) Forgive fast. When one forgives, two are freed. 2) It doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.
Adaptable. In many ways, I can be brittle. My views tend to calcify on how things “should be”. But life is funky and throws many, many curveballs. A big growth area for me is mastering the art of flow — go with the current, not against it. I want to continue being agile and taking things as they come. Also, it’s my 2026 word of the year!
Let Them. An ocean of swirl can drown me if I keep rationalizing people’s behavior. Practicing this concept from Mel Robbins has helped me pull away from anxious thinking and center myself. Sometimes, the best strategy isn’t explanation, it’s acceptance. The only one you can truly understand is yourself.
As always, my deepest appreciation to my community. Not a day goes by that I don't think of how lucky I am.
