Understanding

I saw something from Jay Shetty that I liked: People change from being understood than being corrected.

We care so deeply about our loved ones; it’s hard to see when they struggle. And our first instinct is to jump in and set them on a course of success.

But as we all realize, change starts from within. And it’s actually more helpful to be the best listener than the best lecturer.

And on more occasions, the best counsel comes from comfort.

“I’m here for you no matter what. Now, tell me how you’re really doing?”
